Sales Floor Lead Associate
DRY GOODS REFILLERY is currently looking for a ROCKSTAR to join our team!
Currently seeking a sales floor lead to be an integral part of our established Montclair store to start sometime in AUGUST. You will be responsible selling products and customer service, general merchandising, helping guide junior staff, restocking and helping to maintain a clean and sanitary shopping experience for our customers. This is a key holder position.

Dry Goods Refillery is a NJ’s FIRST plastic free grocery located in Montclair, NJ. We have a team of motivated, driven, friendly employees who are just as eager about helping our customers navigate our store, as they are about helping the planet.
In our store customers are encouraged to bring their own containers and are able to take as much or as little of each product as they wish. We exclusively partner with sustainable and local makers and food creators, minimizing our plastic waste and carbon footprint whenever possible. We help to educate our customers about how to make small daily changes to help the greater good when it comes to sustainability and unnecessary trash.

Being proactive and taking initiative! We are looking for a DRIVEN individual who wants to step in, step up and help drive our store to the next level.
Problem solving! You’re someone who isn’t turned off by working hard to help come up with creative solutions to everyday tasks and problems.
Socially interacting with customers and identifying their purchasing needs in a friendly and approachable manner and are very comfortable explaining our products and guiding customers through the refill process.
Staying positive in a busy work environment that requires both mental and physical stamina.
Interest in sustainability and the environment a plus, but not required.
Qualifications:
Current opening is for approximately 30-35 hours a week but could be more for the right candidate as we are looking for several positions.
MUST be free for a combination of weekday and weekend shifts. No high school applicants at this time.
Confidence to lead by example and willingness to build rapport with customers in a friendly, approachable way.
Customer experience, retail experience or general merchandising experience preferred.
Knowledge of Square POS a plus but not required.
Ability to lift/carry up 50lb, and ability to lift and move heavy boxes on a regular basis up and down stairs, etc.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay:starting at $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
